From the beginning of my project, I have been researching all the different types of media products to understand how I should be executing my own. My main focus is to watch any song or music video that catches my eye and I get inspired by "Ditto" New Jeans, and best the transition in the cinematography of Stray Kids' "God's Menu" and Itzy's "Mafia in the Morning", and lastly Ed Sheeran "Photograph". I like "Photograph" in the overall music video with the comforting tone and reminiscence of every person with their childhood. I want to use this similar to the idea that the scene I take a shot will come out naturally and aesthetically.
Secondly, research for digipak wasn't as specific. This helped us in branding quite a lot so I wanted an idea that was vintage /natural original and unique. I researched the basic formats and layouts of various digipaks and through that, I have decided on a proper layout. In this, they incorporated a colour palette and made sure that the digipak matched well together and was eye-catching for audiences. I also researched quite a bit on the colour palette as not only did the colours match but also each of the three colours was associated with similar and linking themes and emotions.
Lastly, I have started researching different artists or bands on social media pages that follow a format in which nine posts make up one picture. I cropped a picture into nine equal individual images and posted them one by one. All these accounts are well recognised and create a better visual for audiences. Through this, I created an eye-catching social media page that engages with audiences and keeps them guessing about what’s to come next.
